How much is parking at Port Canaveral?
The Canaveral Port Authority charges twenty dollars a day plus tax for cars and RVs, and that includes both your arrival and departure days. It is pay-on-arrival and no cash is taken — bring a credit card. Off-port lots nearby undercut that with shuttles if the saving matters more than walking straight off to your car.
Which terminal will my ship use at Port Canaveral?
It depends on the line, and the port runs several cruise terminals rather than one building. Disney, Carnival, Royal Caribbean, MSC and Norwegian all operate here, and your terminal number appears on your boarding documents rather than being fixed by line forever. Check the document rather than the last cruise you took, because assignments move.
Do you need a passport to cruise from Port Canaveral?

It is the practical choice if you would rather not stay near the airport. Cocoa Beach sits close to the port with beachfront hotels, so you can arrive the day before, be by the ocean that evening and reach the terminal easily in the morning. For a first-time cruiser flying in, that buffer night matters far more than the location does.
How early can you leave the ship on disembarkation morning?
Early enough that a same-day flight from Orlando is realistic, provided you leave a sensible gap. Self-carrying your own bags gets you off soonest; putting them out the night before means waiting for your colour to be called. Given the drive to the airport, we would not book a flight for the first part of the morning — late morning onward is the comfortable zone.
